Support to start a social enterprise

Through our publicly funded contracts, we are able to offer you three hours of dedicated face to face time with your social enterprise business adviser. Your adviser will complete desktop research to assist you between your meetings and may request that you also complete some actions to help move your social enterprise forward. At the end of the three hours, you will have an action plan, which clearly identifies the next steps in the development of your social enterprise. If you require further support, then this is available at a charge.

Support and advice is tailored to your needs but in many cases covers ‘the principles and characteristics of social enterprise’, ‘business planning and feasibility’, ‘legal structures and incorporation’.

Other support areas commonly include; facilitated support in writing mission, aims and values, user consultation, marketing & communication, access to finance, income generation, bid writing, asset transfer/ asset management, full cost recovery, financial planning
