Quarterly Inspiration Networking Event held in July 2010

We were delighted to introduce our guest speaker Rachael Wheatley from PACE Partners International; who let us in on her valuable secrets around ‘building business relationships’

Building business relationships can take a while.  But while it’s top of the agenda for many businesses, most have limited time and resource available for business development and are often not sure of the best method to use to generate the best results.  So what framework works?  What marketing and business development activities can help us get to meet people in other businesses?  What’s the best way of building the relationships after that initial meeting?  How do we keep the momentum going?

This event covered:

  • Help you to target the right organisations in the first place
  • Explore ideas on how to build and maintain relationships
  • Share a way of earning the right to meet people you don’t already know
  • Show you what a good first meeting looks like

Rachael Wheatley is a consultant with PACE Partners International, a business which specialises in helping firms grow profitable income, either through key client management or through applying the skills and behaviour of best practice business development.  Before joining PACE, Rachael worked in companies for over 20 years heading up marketing and business development teams.”

Feedback from the July event

Just wanted to say thank you to you and your colleagues for organising last night’s event – Mel and I both found it useful and have already made contact with a couple of people.

It’s really interesting to stick your head above the parapet and see what other people are up to …

Thank you so much to you and your team for organising the event last Thursday.  I was really fortunate to meet 2 people with whom it will be really good to explore ways of working together in future.

Quarterly Inspiration Networking Event held in April 2010

We are thrilled to tell you that our first event held back in April was a great success, even with the closure of the city centre due to the political debates; people jostled their way through the city to get to us.  The event included a pitch from A Clean Sweep, a cleaning cooperative and finished with a speed networking session.

Feedback from the April event

“Just to say thanks for organising last night’s event. As well as making some good connections I also really enjoyed it - and I thought the speed-networking was a really good idea!”

“Thanks for a great start to your experimental series.
I enjoyed the mix of friendly informality with structure and guidance for getting us to meet each other. Sometimes it is hard to move on! Thanks for the lovely eats too.
I experimented with different ways of explaining what we do and was interested in how people responded. I also met at least a couple of people that I may turn to for help with particular tasks”
