Social Enterprise Works has been working for the last 6 months to support The National Star Centre for Disabled Youth, a college for young people with disabilities, to identify and develop viable social enterprise ideas that provide real-life work experience alongside vocational training. The Social Enterprise activity seeks to provide a stepping stone into sustainable employment for college leavers, and other people with disabilities in the area.
This fascinating work is ongoing and is providing an inspirational example of how social enterprise can form a central part of the colleges curriculum design.
