Spike Island is a national centre for the production and exhibition of contemporary visual arts. In 2007 they celebrated their re-launch after the successful completion of a £2.5m capital development. The new facilities include refurbished artist’s studios, meeting rooms and offices for hire, impressive gallery spaces, vibrant canteen/bar and residency programme which welcomes artists from all over the world to make new work in Bristol. Spike Island works with the general public, students, families, artists, school children and people with learning difficulties
