Filwood Hope Centre

The purpose of Filwood Hope is to serve the community of Knowle West in any way we can, but particularly by giving advice, information, counselling and support to people. Since January this year we have re-focused our activities to make sure that the help we can give is available to as many people as possible.
Counselling is available on most days, and two additional Counsellors are joining us, so that we can help more people this way.

We host sessions by several agencies who provide specialist expertise - during the week we offer -
Wednesday Bristol Debt Advice run a session from 10.00 til 12.00pm.
Thursday South Bristol Advice Centre offer advice on Benefits and money problems, and Shelter provide housing advice,  both sessions running from 10.00am til Mid-day.
Also on Thursday the Salvation Army Re-Hab Outreach Worker is here to talk to people about their addiction issues, from 12.00 til 1.00pm.
Hopes Place, who offer counselling related to pregnancy / abortion issues etc., run their sessions at Filwood Hope when their clients prefer to be seen here on the estate.

Every day we help people with form-filling, making a difficult telephone call, writing an official letter, or giving a wide variety of advice on many subjects. One thing we do have is 10 years experience of helping people and finding solutions to their problems.
Filwood Hope is a Walk-In Centre.   It is a welcoming place to come for an informal chat, and there are private consulting rooms for those personal and confidential matters.
Currently open Tuesday to Friday, from 9.30am until 1.00pm.
