THE CARE FORUM Promotes voluntary, user-led and carer group participation in the development and planning of health, social and care services. Includes information service, Purple Pages, telephone information line and advocacy service. We work with health and social care and voluntary organisations across the former Avon area.
Information Services - Room 102 We manage and distribute a database of local and national services and organisations. The database covers the former Avon area and has over 5000 local records and 6000 national records. We have an active research programme and are growing all the time. We work to benefit the whole community including disabled people, carers, young and older people, people living with HIV/Aids, parents etc.

Purple Pages is an information helpline that signposts people to the services and organisations that they need for health, wellbeing and social care. We are open weekdays from 9.30am - 4.30pm and welcome all enquiries big, or small. We are confidential and anonymous. Contact: Shelley Workman-Dwyer
ADVOCACY SERVICES: Can support you to complain about Social Services; To get across your views, for an explanation or apology, to improve practices and procedures or even for limited compensation. We provide an information service, telephone helpline and self help packs. Trained advocates can listen to you and clarify issues of complaint/your resolutions, write letters and attend meetings and ensure you remain in control of your complaint.
